"Sintez" is on the way to Hungary

Today early in the morning "Sintez" departed to Hungary to play an away clash against "Szolnoki", in this way starting the 2nd play-off round of 2011/12 Eurocup. 

Our present-day opponent is very strong. It is regarded as one of the Hungarian leaders, sharing 2nd-3rd ranks at the moment with "Vasas" and just 3 points short of "Szeged" sitting on top.

"Sintez" comes up to the start of Eurocup quarters in a positive mood. Just two days ago our waterpolo players finished successfully the 3rd National Championship's round in Moscow, collecting 4 wins.

According to Irek Zinnurov, "Sintez" Kazan head coach, Moscovian games served as a good warming-up for the Eurotrip.

"Russian Championship is in the wings now, and all the games are of equal importance, - says Zinnurov, - Eurocup has advanced to its play-off series, which is very special thing as well. You can either loose or win, the stakes are pretty serious indeed, therefore we have taken special preparations towards the clash against "Szolnoki".

According to LEN regulations, 1/4 finals will consist of 2 games on the home and away basis. The winner will be defined on the number of goals conceded and scored, therefore each ball scoed will be of a peculiar importance. The return match of our clash will take place in Kazan on 14 December, 2011.
